In its continuing tradition of giving new sixth grade students at J.L. Long Middle School an opportunity to play team sports, the White Rock YMCA and JL Long PTA are hoping for another great season of sixth grade soccer!   Under UIL Rules, sixth grade students cannot participate in school team sports, so this is a fantastic opportunity for children to stay active.  We will be abiding by any YMCA and other mandated C-19 regulations as needed.  Teams are open to all incoming sixth grade boys and girls of all skill levels!  Team registration is open to players outside of JL Long if we have spots.

The teams will consist of 14+ players and the team will be co-ed. Registration is at the White Rock YMCA, games are played locally, usually on Saturday and practices are held at Randall Park (across from Woodrow Wilson H.S.) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Registration for Fall play started June 15th  and ends August 9th (officially), but please contact Coach Victor for information on how to waive late fees.   The first game is scheduled first week of September  and the cost is $90 for YMCA member and $130 for non-members. Financial assistance is available for those in need.  Our first practice will be August 24th.  Register in person (highly recommended) or online at www.whiterockymca.org -- Please register as JL Long team member, coach Aves.
