UPDATED RE-ENTRY PLAN

As you may be aware, health data from the county is showing improvements. Based on that information and feedback from focus groups comprised of parents, teachers, principals, and teacher organizations, Dallas ISD is planning a phased-in option for reopening schools for face-to-face, on-campus instruction.

For that purpose, the District has sent out a Parent Survey (link provided above) to give you the opportunity to choose the instructional model for your child.  This plan would provide the option for our youngest learners (in the case of JL Long, our 6th Graders) to have a one-week jump-start on campus, giving them a chance to get acclimated to their new surroundings and build strong, positive relationships.  This would give our 6th Grade Students the option to begin on campus instruction on Monday, September 28th.

Please note, these plans are based on current COVID health data and could be adjusted if there is a significant change. Safety is our top priority, and we will continue to keep you informed.

Thank you for your partnership, and we are eager to kick off a new year, full of joyful and meaningful learning.
