Gentle reminder that we will complete STAAR Simulation testing Tuesday-Thursday of this week. Students do not need to bring backpacks. Lunch boxes are still welcome! This will help us cut down on morning arrival entry procedures and allow for more time directing students to testing rooms. Your students testing room can be found by using this website: JL Long Testing Lookup.

All grade level doors open at 8:10 AM to begin our morning arrival security process.

From 8:10 AM-8:25 AM, students are able to access all three arrival spaces. 

At 8:25 and once students are processed through that door, the entrance is closed off, and all students are routed toward the 7^th grade door. All staff outside ensure this communication.

It is the expectation that at 8:35 AM, students are in their seats and ready for instruction.

The Long Run on April 9th is our PTA’s main fundraiser of the year. Sponsorships are critical to fund our PTA’s operating budget. Opportunities range from $175-$5,000+ and will be great marketing exposure to our school community of over 1,000 students. The deadline to sponsor for full benefits is March 11th. Did you know that the JL Long Peace Pantry is available to any family in our school community? Bags of food are sent home each week on Fridays.  Your participation is completely confidential! There is no paperwork or qualification process. PICK UP LOCATION: Room 237

Online order pick-up & shopping days during the school year will be in Room 237 (first floor hallway between front doors & gym) on the FIRST Thursday of every month from 3:45 to 4:15pm, unless indicated otherwise. All orders made by the Tuesday before the Thursday pick-up date will be available for pick-up. Any orders made after Tuesday will be available at the next scheduled pick-up date. Parents and/or students may pick-up an order or shop in person during our monthly store hours.
