The Peace Pantry Needs Our Help!
The JL Long Peace Pantry is combining efforts with WWHS to make additional backpacks of food to go along with the meals that DISD is providing to give out each week. We are finding out that the food provided by the district is not enough. Please considering helping families in our community who are hungry and in need. We are asking for help in the following ways:1). When you are grocery shopping, pick up items using our Amazon Wish List as a guide for some extra items you can add to your cart. Food can be delivered to JL Long on Mondays at 1:00 or Thursdays from 9:30-1:00. Please deliver food to the side door by the gym. You can pull into the teacher parking lot and there will be someone there to receive food. There will also be a table where you can place food. 2). Use the Amazon Wish List to order items to be delivered directly to Long. For questions email Beth Price: bethprice09@gmail.com or Kara Wilson: karakloppers@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for your help!
To slow the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in our community, all Dallas ISD schools will close indefinitely. This action follows advice from the Dallas County Health and Human Services department (DCHHS).
We recognize the significant impact this extended closure will have on the entire community, especially for families who depend on the district for critical services.
While our classrooms are empty, our work on behalf of children continues. We have activated at-home learning, our teachers are prepared to begin distance instruction, and Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) will distribute meals at select campus locations. These sites will become central locations for family and student resource distribution in the coming weeks. Please expect phone messages with updates and visit www.dallasisd.org/COVID19 for more information.
Thank you for working with us as we unite with organizations across the community to respond to COVID-19.
