We want to hear from YOU! Parents and guardians, please complete the Dallas ISD Fall 2026 Family & Community Survey by November 20th. Your feedback helps us grow stronger together! 

Donations are being collected through October 16 to help students create Hope Boxes for breast cancer patients at Baylor Scott & White. Donation boxes are located at the school entrances.

The 6th grade class is leading the drive, but everyone is welcome to participate! Donate individual items or fill an entire Hope Box.

We had a great time celebrating AVID Day with cake, connection, and a chance to learn how AVID is making a difference for our Buccaneers! A big thank you to our AVID Coordinator, Mr. Walker, our AVID Team, PTA, and everyone who stopped by to celebrate and learn more about the program.

An extra-special shoutout to our amazing AVID students, Sam Bonds and Aidan Marshall who welcomed guests, answered questions, and helped lead the event. Their confidence, leadership, and knowledge were a great example of AVID in Action! We’re proud to continue a strong college and career-ready culture at J.L. Long!

The dance committee need supplies, donations, and volunteers to make the 7th grade Long dance a success! Please sign up here.

Our Buc Band fundraiser is going strong! Help us provide every member of the Buc Band with the best experience! Click here to donate. 

For many of our students, this is the first time they get to learn to read music and play an instrument. This is a life long skill! Our fundraiser supports providing them instruments, maintaining them, and opportunities to showcase their talent and proudly represent J L Long in the community. These opportunities require transportation, uniforms, food and a host of other supplies. Please consider investing in music and sharing our donation link with your music loving friends.
