All grade level doors open at 8:10 AM to begin our morning arrival security process.

From 8:10 AM-8:25 AM, students are able to access all three arrival spaces.

At 8:25 and once students are processed through that door, the entrance is closed off, and all students are routed toward the 7th grade door. All staff outside ensure this communication.

It is the expectation that at 8:35 AM, students are in their seats and ready for instruction.

Thank you!

Best,

Principal Cronin

PTA News

As we begin planning for next year, I’d like to ask each of you to complete the PTA Self-Nomination Form.

It is especially important that all current board members complete the form if you:

  • Would like to return to your current position, or

  • Would like to be considered for a new role.

The Nominating Committee will first consider individuals who have submitted the self-nomination form, so please be sure to complete it if you would like to serve next year. You can also email me directly if you would like to discuss or have questions about any of the positions.

Please also consider submitting a PTA Lifetime Membership Nomination for a deserving parent, teacher, staff member, or community member. This is one of the highest honors a PTA can give, recognizing outstanding service to children and youth. Recipients will be honored at the PTA End-of-Year party on May 6!

Dallas ISD trustees send $6.2 billion bond proposal to voters

On Thursday, February 12, the Dallas ISD trustees sent a $6.2 billion bond proposal to voters in May. The proposal has been developed over the past year with the help of the Citizens Bond Steering Committee, whose members were appointed by the board.

If approved by voters, the $6.2 billion bond would:

  • build 26 brand-new replacement schools at these campuses
  • renovate and modernize all campuses (see proposed scope by campus)
  • remove the district's 700 remaining school portables (used by nearly 10,000 students)
  • upgrade safety and security at all campuses
  • update school furniture
  • upgrade student technology and purchase new school buses
  • upgrade physical education facilities
  • repair the district's swimming pools

The bond would be broken up into four propositions on the May ballot, A, B, C, and D. Prop C would allow the district to refinance $143 million in debt, giving the district the ability to redirect more resources back to classroom operations.
