Communication is a vital component to a successful school year and we will do our best to keep you informed about upcoming events, fundraisers, and important school updates.

Did you know that the JL Long Peace Pantry is available to any family in our school community? Bags of food are sent home each week on Fridays.  Your participation is completely confidential! There is no paperwork or qualification process. To sign up, contact Ms. Donelson (Librarian) at pdonelson@dallasisd.org or Ms. Zamora (Parent Support Specialist) at audzamora@dallasisd.org or find them at school.

The JL Long Peace Pantry is available to any family in our school community. With the expected suspension of SNAP benefits in November, your donation means even more to our Peace Pantry families! Please order today from the Wish Lists below to have supplies and food shipped directly to school.

ONLINE ORDER PICK-UP & SHOPPING DATES:

November 6, 2025 3:45pm-4:15pm

PICK UP LOCATION: Room 237

(right around the corner from where we used to be in the front hallway)

Online order pick-up & shopping days during the school year will be in Room 237 (first floor hallway between front doors & gym) on the FIRST Thursday of every month from 3:45 to 4:15pm, unless indicated otherwise. All orders made by the Tuesday before the Thursday pick-up date will be available for pick-up. Any orders made after Tuesday will be available at the next scheduled pick-up date. Parents and/or students may pick-up an order or shop in person during our monthly store hours.

The LECPTA annual Auction Party benefits the children of East Dallas through funds raised and donated to East Dallas Schools.  LECPTA annually donates over $400,000 to Lakewood Elementary, J.L Long Middle School, Woodrow Wilson High School, Mount Auburn Elementary, Geneva Heights Elementary, Lipscomb Elementary, Woodrow Peace Pantry, Long Peace Pantry and Long Zoo Crew. We appreciate this support tremendously, and want to share that the LECPTA Silent Auction is now open, featuring one-of-a-kind items, experiences, and events you do not want to miss. From dreamy hotels and Mavs tickets to culinary events and curated styling sessions - there is something for everyone to enjoy.
